Watch woman's arrest after cattle prod attack

This was the moment an ex-police officer was arrested after attacking her neighbours with knives, a coal shovel and a cattle prod.

Paula Attwood-Rees, 59, drank a bottle of wine before arming herself and breaking into the home of Jacqueline Teague, 69, and her husband Chris, 70.

That day, the former South Wales Police officer had been convicted at Newport Magistrates Court of causing criminal damage to cars belonging to Mr and Mrs Teague in August last year.

Attwood-Rees, of Monkswood, Monmouthshire, was jailed for six years and two months at Merthyr Tydfil Crown Court on Tuesday for the attack.

She pleaded guilty to wounding with intent, assault occasioning actual bodily harm, aggravated burglary, criminal damage, weapons offences and assaulting an emergency worker.
