Man rescued after being swept under bridge in swollen Wisconsin river

A father and son were rescued from the swollen Menomonee River in Wisconsin after jumping in to save their dog.

Heavy rains over the weekend caused flooding across several counties, swelling river levels and creating dangerous currents.

Rescuers found the father and his son, who were struggling in the strong current, but the son went underwater and was swept down the river, according to local media.

Both were rescued and taken to hospital.
