Father of M9 crash victim: 'Part of me died that day'

A fatal accident inquiry has found an "organisational failure" in Police Scotland call handling procedures led to a crashed car with two people inside remaining undiscovered for days.

Lamara Bell and John Yuill died after the car they were in left the M9 near Stirling in July 2015 as they drove back from a camping trip.

The inquiry concluded Ms Bell may have survived if she had been rescued from the car sooner.

John Yuill's father Gordon said he accepted that the crash was his son's fault and hopes the report will allow his family to move on.
