A vandalised inflatable boat triggered a full scale search and rescue.

A yacht reported a partially submerged boat near the Des Ormes reef between Sark and Jersey on Tuesday afternoon.

Lifeboats from Guernsey and Jersey and the Channel Islands Air Search were called out to investigate it as a possible man overboard incident.

The Jersey owner of the inflatable was unaware it had been launched and it became apparent it was deliberately vandalised and left to sink.
