Pallot's song Butterfly is featured in the latest advert

Jersey singer songwriter Nerina Pallot is featured in the new Jersey Tourism television advert.

This year the campaign uses the island's warm weather statistics to sell it as a holiday destination.

Based on figures from the Jersey Met Department, Jersey has more hours of sunshine than anywhere else in the British Isles.

Pallot's song Butterfly is featured in the advert which shows off some of the island's activities and attractions.

A marketing campaign in the summer looked at why Jersey did not make it onto the national weather forecasts.

This latest campaign is aiming to drive that message home again.

The tourism department is using the publicity generated from that and the island featuring on the Apprentice as a treat for the winners.

Pallot described it as a "huge honour" that her song was being used on the advert.

"My friends and family have been taking the mickey out of me and saying 'you are the voice of Jersey', it is lovely," she said.

After seeing the advert for the first time, Pallot said she felt it sold Jersey perfectly.

"I think it is brilliant, I think it is exactly the way Jersey should be selling itself.

"If I was looking at going somewhere as someone with a young family I would definitely want to go, it looks brilliant."
