Giant pop-up book of The Hobbit arrives in Hollywood

Check this out! It's a giant pop-up book of The Hobbit. The novel by JRR Tolkien has been made into a 3-part major blockbuster film. The Middle Earth scenes were shot in New Zealand but here they've been recreated in book-form in Hollywood in California.
The pop-up book is the size of two tennis courts and is 15 metres high! It has been installed in a Hollywood hotel for five days to mark the world premiere of the second film from the Hobbit trilogy - The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug.
This scene recreates the lake town which features in the film and you can see Lake Pukaki and Mount Cook, from New Zealand's South Island, in the background.
This magical picture shows a scene of the Pelorus River in Marlborough in New Zealand which is known as Forest River in the story.
This wooden haven is a recreation of Beorn’s House. Beorn is a shape-shifter who can switch between being a man and a bear. In the background you can see Paradise which is in Queenstown.
The stars popped along to see the giant 3D book - this is Martin Freeman who plays Bilbo Baggins, the main character in the book.
This is actress Evangeline Lilly, who was a big fan of The Hobbit when she was younger. She plays an elf called Tauriel. This is a character that wasn't in the books by JRR Tolkien: Tauriel was invented by the film's director Peter Jackson.
This is Luke Evans, an actor from Wales. He appears in the second film of The Hobbit as Bard the Bowman. He says he uses his own Welsh accent in the film.
This is the movie mastermind behind The Hobbit trilogy. He's called Peter Jackson, he also directed the Lord of the Rings trilogy, and he's from New Zealand where the films have been made. The second part of the Hobbit comes out on Friday 13 December.
