The training school for Japan's mascots

Mascots are big business in Japan but becoming one takes a lot of training at one of the country's specialist schools.

The cute characters are very popular with children and they are used to promote national parks, trains, TV stations and well known landmarks, like the Tokyo Tower.

There is a special school in Tokyo where people can learn how to move and dance for huge audiences.

And Newsround reporter Leah went behind the scenes to find out what it takes.
