'Ghost apples' found in USA

It's been pretty cold over in America recently and that has led to some amazing natural sights.

These glassy-looking 'ghost apples' were found by a farmer in Michigan.

They're formed when freezing rain lands on the fruit forming an icy 'shell'.

But what happens to the apple inside?
