Godwits: Rare hand-reared birds released into wild

Black-tailed godwits are rare in the UK but now their numbers have been boosted after conservationists stepped in to help.

Chicks have been raised by hand and then released into the wild.

The Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust (WWT) said there were now 40 percent more of the endangered birds in the UK than five years ago.
