After an action packed week of flips, tricks and tumbles the Artistic Gymnastics World Championships have come to an end.

Some of the sport's biggest competed in the 53rd tournament, which took place in the Belgian city of Antwerp.

Jake Jarman has made history at the World Gymnastics Championships by winning Great Britain's first world title on vault.

But he's not the only one to make history at the event.

US superstar Simone Biles has become the most decorated gymnast in history after winning gold in the all-around finals - more about Simone later.

Jake claimed the top spot in the men's vault final with an overall score of 15.050.

He was the only gymnast to attempt the high-difficulty Yonekura vault, landing it perfectly.

The vault helped Jarman secure a first individual medal at world level and showcased his potential ahead of the 2024 Olympics in Paris.

"It doesn't feel real yet. I just can't believe it," he said.

Simone Biles has returned to competition after a two-year break from the sport

Simone Biles has sealed her place in the record books picking up medals in the vault, beam and women's team finals.

It means she has won a total of 37 world and Olympic medals in her gymnastics' career to date - which is more than any other gymnast, male or female.

She also became the first woman to land a Yurchenko double pike vault, earlier in the competition.

The US super star was making her return to the competition, following a two-year break from the sport to work on her mental health.

The vault move has now been renamed the Biles II in recognition of her achievement.
