FA Cup final: Who will win - Crystal Palace or Manchester City?

Football fans, players and commentators often say "there is nothing like Wembley Stadium on FA Cup Final day"

The FA Cup final may be just another football match to some, but to many, it is a moment of sporting history, emotion and (hopefully) fun!
Part of the reason for this is that the men's tournament is one of the oldest club competitions in the world, and generations of football fans have been watching the final with family and friends for years.
This weekend's match between Crystal Palace and Manchester City will be the 153rd FA Cup final in history.
Fans of both clubs will be travelling to Wembley Stadium in London to cheer on their team in the hopes of lifting the iconic trophy.
What can we expect from the big game?

In 1924, the FA Cup trophy was so sought after, even Newcastle's winning captain wasn't allowed to do his victory lap without a police escort
Here is all you need to know if you want to watch the match.
Kick-off is at 16:30 on Saturday 17 May, and it will be broadcast live on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
Thousands of fans are expected to travel from Manchester, and many Palace supporters will make their way from south of the River Thames to Wembley in the north west of London.
The Football Association says the winning club will receive £2,000,000, with the runners-up collecting £1,000,000 from the competition's prize fund.
Who do you think will win? Are you supporting Manchester City or Crystal Palace? Do you have plans to watch the game?
Don't forget to have your say in the comments.
What are the team's chances?

Keep an eye out in the crowds for home made FA Cup trophies
Crystal Palace are competing in their third FA Cup final and have lost at both previous attempts, so their fans will be hungry to see claret and blue ribbons on the trophy after the game.
They lost to Manchester United in both the 1990 and 2016 finals.
Manchester City are hoping to collect some silverware after a bit of a disappointing season - by their own high standards.

Scarves at the ready for City fans, but it looks like it will be a warm Wembley day on Saturday
They will also want to shake off their 2024 defeat to local rivals, Man United, when they lost 2-1, despite being favourites to take the title.
Seven-time winners City have been in 14 FA Cup finals but hope to catch Chelsea, Liverpool and Tottenham's record of winning eight times each.
In previous meetings of the two teams, City have come out on top in most situations.
They are unbeaten in their last seven games against Palace across all competitions. The Eagles last beat City in 2021.
Players to watch out for

Kevin de Bruyne may be making one of his last appearances for Man City
This will be Kevin de Bruyne's fourth, and likely final, FA Cup final appearance with Manchester City?
The Belgian has said he will be leaving the club at the end of the season, so he will want to leave a lasting legacy.
Meanwhile, Erling Haaland may not yet be at his best, having only just returned to the team after he's been out with an ankle injury since March.
But don't count him out just yet - he has scored 21 Premier League goals this season so far, and will want to add an FA Cup goal to that impressive tally.

Eze has had a terrific season for Palace - can he bring them the luck they need?
For Crystal Palace, Eberechi Eze is the main man at the moment.
The England international was a standout player during their 2-0 derby victory at Tottenham in the Premier League last week.
Eze now has five goals in his past four matches in all competitions, so keep an eye on him.
