David has been metal detecting for nearly ten years and says before this find he had uncovered about 2,700 Roman coin.
However, his most recent find takes him far above that total!
It is believed the pots he found contain between between 10,000 and 15,000 Roman coins.
"A rainbow appeared minutes before the signal was found," David said speaking to the BBC. "I couldn't believe it."

It is the largest hoard David has found in the nine years he has spent metal detecting
After discovering his epic find David was so worried they may be stolen that he slept in his car with the coins for three days before he took them to experts.
"I just didn't want to leave it out my sight," he told the BBC.
The coins are now safe at National Museum Cardiff where they will be analysed.
And experts have already said they believe the hoard could prove to be the biggest discovery ever in Wales.
A spokesperson for Cardiff's museum said the assessment should be completed next year.
