Birds perform amazing aerial display

Thousands of birds in Wales are performing amazing aerial displays at dusk.

It's believed 100,000 starlings have arrived at Llanelli nature reserve to prepare for the winter.

The birds spectacular displays include swirling and swooping - experts believe the birds do this to avoid being eaten by predators.

Some of the starlings are from the UK but many have come all the way from Russia and Scandinavia.

The Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust (WWT) - who look after the nature reserve, believe it is the largest roost ever recorded in that area.

We've been scratching our heads in the Newsround office. We just can't figure out how they don't bump into each other!
