What life is like in freezing USA

Northern and eastern parts of the US and Canada are experiencing freezing cold weather - and have been hit by deep snow and icy conditions.

Fourteen-year-old Rachel lives in Minnesota in the north of the USA, where temperatures have been bitterly cold.

Her school was closed on Wednesday, so she told Newsround what it's like where she lives.
