Joanne the gorilla's first birthday celebrations

Joanne the one year-old gorilla has been celebrating her first birthday in style.

The little lady was given cupcakes and flowers as she partied with her family at San Diego Zoo.

The cakes were made from a special mix of fruit and vegetables and were a big hit with the primates.

Zoo keepers had even made her a present - a cardboard dollhouse with the number '1' for the special occasion.
