Cute baby panda to be shown to public
A baby panda born at a zoo in Japan is being shown off to the public for the first time this week.
The panda named Xiang Xiang was born in June and has excited people in Japan, who are keen to see the animal up close at Tokyo's Ueno Zoo..
The zoo has received nearly 250,000 applications for a lottery to see Xiang Xiang but for those who don't get a ticket, the zoo will live stream the panda's life online for a year.
Staff at the zoo say Xiang Xiang is healthy and is being looked after well by Mum Shin Shin.
The zoo says they are limiting the number of visitors to 2,000 a day for a one to two minute slot outside the panda enclosure.
