Extreme weather: Why is the weather so bad in Europe?

Across France, Italy and Greece there has been extreme weather this week.

Towns and cities have been hit by heavy rains, sweltering temperatures and hail the size of tennis balls.

On Wednesday, cars and houses across Italy were damaged due to the massive balls of ice thundering down, and streets have been flooded.
