Belarus: What's happening there?

Huge protests have been taking place in Belarus.

Thousands of people have been arrested and there have been violent clashes between protesters and police.

One of the reasons for the demos is that many people there believe that the country's recent leadership election was not fair.

BBC Europe correspondent, Jean Mackenzie, sent Newsround this special report.
