Why are farmers protesting around the UK?

It's not every day you see tractors on the busy streets of a city.

But from fields to the front of the Houses of Parliament, tractors and farmers drove through the streets of London on Tuesday.

They were protesting a new tax that has been introduced by the government, which would make some farmers pay more money based on what they own.

Many farmers are unhappy with how much they would be expected to pay saying they can't afford it.

But the government says that the tax is fair and will only affect a small group of farmers.
