VE Day 80: Women's roles in World War Two

As we get ready to mark the 80th anniversary of VE Day, we're looking at the role women played during World War two.

During the war, thousands of men were away fighting and Britain needed women to take on the roles that had traditionally been held by men.

Women were asked to work the land, staff the factories and join the armed forces.

Ricky visits Bletchley Park to find out what an important role women played there and speak to Ruth Bourne who was a Bombe machine operator.

We also speak to Gwen Raggett who joined the Women's Land Army like thousands of others during the war, to help maintain the farmland.
