For some children the first big audition can be nerve-racking, so how do you prepare and what makes a good audition?

Newsround went to the auditions for the National Children's Choir of Great Britain and spoke to some children trying out about how they prepare.

And the choir's musical director Dan Ludford-Thomas tells you what makes a good audition.
