Zaliukas turned down a deal with Rangers before joining Leeds last October
Leeds United have released Lithuania international Marius Zaliukas by mutual consent.
The 30-year-old former Hearts defender had a year remaining on his deal with the Championship club.
He joined the Elland Road side on a short-term contract last October before signing an 18-month deal in January and made 15 appearances.
Meanwhile, the club are hopeful that the transfer embargo they are currently under will be lifted on Tuesday.
