Mansfield Town forward Alex Fisher could be out for between "four to six weeks" after dislocating his shoulder in Tuesday's 0-0 draw with Tranmere.

The 24-year-old adds to a growing Stags injury list, which includes four forwards and three centre-halves.

Defender Kieron Freeman also went off at Prenton Park with a knee injury.

"We'll know more in the next 24 hours as to what Kieron's done, but we're not very hopeful," assistant manager Micky Moore told BBC Radio Nottingham.

The injury crisis means Mansfield could be without nine first-team players for Saturday's trip to York.

"It's something I've never experienced before," continued Moore. "When you look at the stats tonight, we've drawn 0-0 and haven't made enough chances, but we've got four centre-forwards injured.

"To be fair to the chairman, he has been really supportive in everything we are trying to do.

"We had Matt Rhead, Ollie Palmer and Liam Hearn out injured so we went to him late Monday afternoon and we brought in Daniel Carr.

"It'll be a conversation the gaffer has with the chairman again - but to be fair to the chairman he's been first class in supporting us."
