Cambridge United manager Richard Money has made Preston midfielder Keith Keane his latest signing of the summer on a two-year contract.

The 28-year-old said he had joined to help take Cambridge into League One.

"That's the manager's vision, it's the club's vision, and with the type of players who are coming in, they're taking the right steps," said Keane.

Keane joined joining Preston from Luton in July 2012, but has since had loan spells at Crawley and Stevenage.

He is Money's third signing in recent days, joining former Fleetwood skipper Mark Roberts and ex-Gillingham centre-back Leon Legge in the U's squad for the 2015-16 season.
