You talk about growth and one of the exciting things about Caleb Williams is he's not forcing things. What he's doing is taking what the defence gives him and that's where he's extending plays with his legs.

He's saying that if you're going to go man-to-man and cover my guys up, he's going to find the open alley and make a play with his feet and live to fight another day.

Chicago Bears team president Kevin Warren speaking to BBC Sport about quarterback Caleb Williams: "He's exciting to watch and we’ve already seen his talent. He’s got better with each and every game. He’s worked incredibly hard, he’s a leader, and when you watch him play, he doesn’t carry himself like a rookie. He’s a Heisman Trophy winner so he’s accustomed to and comfortable with being in the spotlight. He’s come right into the organisation and shown his work ethic, his toughness, his moxy.

"With rookies you want to see progress, to see them continually get better, which he’s done. You want make sure their confidence remains strong and they remain healthy. He's getting more comfortable with each game, but even in college he showed he looks comfortable, has a great arm and has great command of the offence.

"He’s got nifty feet, some of the runs he made last week were really exciting. He can throw from the pocket and also when he gets out in space, he can move to the left or the right. He's just a great personality, has a great smile and great energy. I'm glad we have him."

  6. HT viewing - 'DJ Moore's a complete player'published at 15:57 British Summer Time

HT: Jacksonville Jaguars 3-14 Chicago Bears

Chicago Bears team president Kevin Warren speaking to BBC Sport about wide receiver DJ Moore: "DJ's special, he’s gifted. He can really run, he can catch, he blocks - he's a complete player. He has a great personality and has great energy, and he’s built. He’s sturdy, he’s strong and he’s like a running back, so I’m glad he’s on our team.

"On one of his two touchdown catches last Sunday, he caught the ball across the middle and showed that much speed and torque but was able to balance himself and not go out of bounds.

"The other one was not only an insane throw by Caleb Williams but for DJ to catch that at the back of the end zone and get both feet down was beautiful to see."

You can watch the second of these touchdowns below, plus a monster run by Jags running back Tank Bigsby.

  7. 'It was self-inflicted wounds'published at 15:55 British Summer Time

HT: Jacksonville Jaguars 3-14 Chicago Bears

Jacksonville Jaguars head coach Doug Pederson, speaking on Sky Sports: "It was self-inflicted wounds, we had false starts in there and we haven't been able to execute.

"We have to get in here and regroup. It's a great opportunity in the second half to start with the ball and see what we can do."

On his message to his defence: "We've got to keep playing. We've had a couple of coverage assignments and those are things that have plagued us all season so far. We've got to clean that up and just execute better."

  8. 'Bears fans loving what they're seeing from Williams'published at 15:54 British Summer Time

Bears fans go into half-time happy after a slow start from their team.

But they are loving what they're seeing from their number one draft pick Caleb Williams, who has really taken control of this game after some early struggles.

His mazy runs and pinpoint accuracy had them on their feet for much of the second quarter.

  9. Half-time - Bears leadpublished at 15:51 British Summer Time

It was a slow start but a fast finish from Caleb Williams and the Chicago Bears in that first half - with tight end and now stand-in long snapper Cole Kmet the star of the show.

The Jags peaked on their opening drive when they marched the length of the field, but like so often this season they could not punch it in for a touchdown.

Chicago struggled to deal with the Jacksonville pass rush early on, but once they get D'Andre Swift running the ball the field opened up a bit, with Williams also able to break off some hugely important runs.

Everything seems to be ticking over nicely now for Chicago - but a lot of work to do for the Jags.

That's more like it from Caleb Williams. His confidence grew during the course of that drive and he rounds it off by finding Cole Kmet in the end zone.

That's what the Bears fans came to Tottenham to see.

Caleb Williams again finds the end zone and again it's Cole Kmet!

Great play to finish a great drive as Kmet just sneaks off into the end zone and after Williams recently showing his running ability that's just too many options for the Jags to cover.

Two touchdowns for the tight end now - who again has to act as long snapper for the extra point. Good day to have Kmet in your fantasy team.

  12. Close!published at 15:45 British Summer Time

    Jacksonville Jaguars 3-7 Chicago Bears

Caleb Williams takes off again, dropping a shoulder and ducking and diving eventually just short of the end zone! He's about two yards short as Chicago depserately call a timeout.

    Ndamukong Suh
Former NFL defensive tackle on Sky Sports

I love what Caleb Williams is doing, for the simple fact that Jacksonville were on top of him early on and he's been able to slowly get back into it, which is exciting.

  14. Postpublished at 15:43 British Summer Time

    Jacksonville Jaguars 3-7 Chicago Bears

Wily old veteran Keenan Allen picks up a first down on third-and-five and that was a big-time throw from Caleb Williams - into a tight window over the middle, it had to be right on the money. And it was!

  15. Postpublished at 15:42 British Summer Time

    Jacksonville Jaguars 3-7 Chicago Bears

Phew! Caleb Williams held onto the ball an awfully long time there when there was clearly nothing on. Almost sacked, he rolls out left and he really should just throw that away as soon as he's outside the pocket.

We're inside 40 seconds left on the clock.

  16. Two-minute warningpublished at 15:40 British Summer Time

    Jacksonville Jaguars 3-7 Chicago Bears

We're at the two-minute warning with Chicago at midfield - this is where Caleb Williams can show what he's made of. It's not all about ability here, it's about decision making, clock management and knowing exactly what to do, and what not to do at the right times.

The hurry-up offence looks like it suits him more and it's here where his scrambling ability should pay dividends.

  17. Williams hesitant on the runpublished at 15:40 British Summer Time

    Jacksonville Jaguars 3-7 Chicago Bears

    Ben Collins
BBC Sport at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium

For a guy who's supposed to be comfortable running the ball, Caleb Williams seemed surprisingly hesitant before setting off then.

And there's nothing wrong with a quarterback sliding to the deck instead of getting clattered, but he could have gained about another 10 yards before doing so.

  18. Williams' wheelspublished at 15:38 British Summer Time

    Jacksonville Jaguars 3-7 Chicago Bears

Caleb Williams has an age to hold the ball looking everywhere, and when there's no throw he just takes off and has acres to wander into before sliding right in the middle of the huge NFL shield at midfield.

D'Andre Swift scampers for a first down along the left sideline - it's actually a great tackle by one of the Bears coaching staff to hold on to the big fella as he comes racing into the benches.

  20. Three-and-outpublished at 15:34 British Summer Time

It's a team game and the Chicago Bears defence gets their rookie QB out of trouble as they force a quick three-and-out by the Jags so Caleb Williams will get another chance.

It's key he doesn't try too hard to make amends here though and just play his normal game.
