When playing safety we're told to run to daylight, because that's the same opening that the running back is looking for. So we run through and try and make a big stop, just like CJ Gardner-Johnson did.

  3. field goal

Field goal - Ramspublished at 20:52 Greenwich Mean Time 19 January

Los Angeles Rams 10-13 Philadelphia Eagles

Joshua Karty nails a 30-yarder to cut the gap to just three points. Scoring may start to get a bit trickier if this snow keeps falling so take those points when you get them.

  4. Decked!published at 20:51 Greenwich Mean Time 19 January

Los Angeles Rams 7-13 Philadelphia Eagles

Kyren Williams gets the hand-off on third-and-two, he shuffles and heads for a hole in the line but out of nowhere comes CJ Gardner-Johnson like he's been shot from a cannon and he decks Williams short of the line to gain and the Rams won't risk it this time.

    Field goal unit coming on.

We are so lucky to watch these NFL athletes go at it week after week. We get kind of spoiled and used to the fact that this happens, but it's not normal what these guys are doing. This is what makes it so fun, it's anybodies game.

  6. End of first quarterpublished at 20:48 Greenwich Mean Time 19 January

Los Angeles Rams 7-13 Philadelphia Eagles

What a way to end the first quarter, with Demarcus Robinson saying "no, not today" on that almost interception (probably).

The snow continues to fall as we go into the second quarter.

  7. Catch? Interception?published at 20:47 Greenwich Mean Time 19 January

Los Angeles Rams 7-13 Philadelphia Eagles

Wait, what? Isaiah Rodgers grabs an interception of Matthew Stafford on the deep ball, the only problem is Rams receiver Demarcus Robinson is right there as well and he sets about grappling with Rodgers for the ball as the two fall to the ground.

Much like the end of Rocky it's almost in slow motion as they fall to the turf, but the Philly man comes out on the wrong side of it this time as Robinson wins the tug of war and comes up with the ball - and a 48-yard reception!

    Massive play that one.

If you have an elite running back like Saquon Barkley, running downfield at full steam, there's almost no chance of stopping him.

If we keep seeing this from the Eagles offence then it will deflate this defence. They'll continue to pound and pound, but at some point they'll have to give up.

  9. Snow is falling all around us...published at 20:43 Greenwich Mean Time 19 January

Eagles playing, having fun! The Rams are back on the field as the snow starts to fall at The Linc. Things are about to get a bit tougher for LA.

    It shouldn't be a free-for-all.

Both Eagles touchdowns have seen the same problem for the Rams.

The first guy doesn't wrap him up but then the secondary and the linebackers have to cover it better.

They haven't made the Eagles go down the field yet - they've just had two monster plays to score theirs.

If you can run the ball in the post-season, then you can find your way to the big dance.

You've got to dominate the line of scrimmage.

  12. touchdown

Touchdown - Eagles!published at 20:39 Greenwich Mean Time 19 January

Los Angeles Rams 7-13 Philadelphia Eagles

There he is! Saquon Barkley just needs one gap on one play and he's off to the races! 62 yards, no flags, Philly back in front.

The Eagles create just one gap, and although there's a safety there Barkley's got a head of steam and he's just too fast from so speeds away for yet another home run of a touchdown.

    Simply unstoppable!

We talked about Jalen Hurts before this game. He's kind of one read and done right now. That showed me the Rams knew what that first read was.

They had the whole thing flooded, bodies everywhere. What does Hurts do? He panics, he looks at the rush immediately, didn't scan the rest of the field.

  14. Big hit!published at 20:37 Greenwich Mean Time 19 January

Los Angeles Rams 7-6 Philadelphia Eagles

Ahkello Witherspoon absolutely hammers DeVonta Smith as he went up to haul in a huge bomb from Jalen Hurts, and that draws a flag for hitting a defenseless receiver in the head or neck area.

That's a 15-yard penalty but saves the Rams a big chunk of yardage as Smith looked to have grabbed that ball safely before Witherspoon delivered that hit.

  15. Sack!published at 20:35 Greenwich Mean Time 19 January

Los Angeles Rams 7-6 Philadelphia Eagles

Jalen Carter not only gets to Matthew Stafford but he's lifted him off the ground in a giant bear hug! In the old days he'd have smashed Stafford down to the ice cold turf but these days we have to protect the quarterbacks so he lets his man down gently.

    Rams have to punt.

  16. Postpublished at 20:33 Greenwich Mean Time 19 January

Los Angeles Rams 7-6 Philadelphia Eagles

Matthew Stafford has a few issues possibly with his ribs or back after taking a hit on the touchdown drive so that's one to monitor as we go on.

For now he's facing a third and three

  17. Weather watchpublished at 20:31 Greenwich Mean Time 19 January

Los Angeles Rams 7-6 Philadelphia Eagles

    Weather forecast

No snow so far, but the forecast is for some to fall during this game - both teams look tough defensively and keen to run the ball so it'll be interesting to see what they do if we do get a big drop of the white stuff soon.

  18. Sacked!published at 20:30 Greenwich Mean Time 19 January

Los Angeles Rams 7-6 Philadelphia Eagles

Jalen Hurts gets dropped on thir down! The Rams bullied the Vikings last week and even against this great offensive line they're able to do some serious damage.

Braden Fiske gets the sack but Jared Verse was also in the vicinity causing trouble - this Rams outfit have come to play!

Philly have to punt it away.

After going behind, on the road in an atmosphere like that, that was some response from Matthew Stafford and the Rams.

Tough running from Kyren Williams, great catch from Tyler Higbee and let's not forget a great challenge from Sean McVay - who also called a great first series of plays.

    Game very much on!

When you get hit flush in the face, you have to hit right back on the road in the play-offs.

A really good drive from the Rams.
