    Minnesota Vikings 6-14 Pittsburgh Steelers

Half-time and I think the Vikings will be happy to only be down by eight.

The Steelers' Kenneth Gainwell scored a first-quarter rushing touchdown before Aaron Rodgers connected with DK Metcalf for a stunning 80-yard TD score.

The Vikings have two Reichard field-goals for their first-half efforts - but it's still a one-score game.

  2. field goal

Wentz fires incomplete to Hockenson. 3rd & 12 now...

...and the Vikings QB lofts the ball out of bounds.

It's left to Will Reichard to take the easy three points with a 28-yard FG.

Carson Wentz's ability to use his legs and fight through the defence is such a weapon for the Vikings.

Looked like there was a chance we were about to see what the O'Griddy celebration would entail before Jefferson lost his footing at the end of that play.

Croke Park will have to wait.

  5. Great play!published at 15:48 BST 28 September

    Minnesota 3-14 Pittsburgh

Another first down as Wentz scrambles and finds Jefferson in open field to his left. Ball is down to the Steelers' 15 yard line - Vikings use up their third and final timeout. They have 24 seconds to make count now.

  6. Great play!published at 15:47 BST 28 September

    Minnesota Vikings 3-14 Pittsburgh Steelers

Wentz hurls one centre-field to Jefferson - nice reception for a gain of 15 and the drive is alive.

  7. Vikings against the clockpublished at 15:45 BST 28 September

    Minnesota Vikings 3-14 Pittsburgh Steelers

The Vikings have the ball back but only 1'28" now left on the clock and they have just one timeout.

Any points from this position would be a bonus. A personal foul, roughing the passer, on Carson Wentz helps their cause as they advance to their own 34-yard line.

  8. Redmond doubles up on Rodgerspublished at 15:44 BST 28 September

Vikings defensive end Jalen Redmond came into today's game with two career sacks.

He's just sacked Aaron Rodgers twice in the first half. Two nice feathers to add to his hat.

The Steelers will want to shore up their offensive line in the second half though. They can't afford to let the veteran keep getting hit like that.

  9. field goal

Field goal blocked!published at 15:41 BST 28 September

    Minnesota Vikings 3-14 Pittsburgh Steelers

Chris Boswell's 30-yard field goal attempt is blocked - and finally today the Vikings have a bit of luck go their way.

  10. 'The pocket collapses around Rodgers again'published at 15:41 BST 28 September

Nothing complex from the Vikings defence there. Just a couple of big men breaking the Steelers offensive line once again.

Rodgers is sacked - Jalen Redmond tosses him to the ground like a rag doll.

  12. Rodgers on the movepublished at 15:35 BST 28 September

    Minnesota Vikings 3-14 Pittsburgh Steelers

The pocket collapsing around him, Aaron Rodgers takes flight and secures another first down with a dash up the middle.

We're at the two-minute warning with the Steelers on the Vikes' 15-yard line and threatening to extend their 11-point lead.

Jaylen Warren was Pittsburgh's leading receiver this season. That huge catch and run by DK Metcalf took him to 122 yards from four receptions today, almost doubling his season total coming into the game (135).

More importantly, it's just the kind of connection the Steelers were hoping for when they brought in both Metcalf and Aaron Rodgers during the off-season. Rodgers had his hands raised in celebration before Metcalf had even made it into the end zone.

  14. Steelers First Downpublished at 15:32 BST 28 September

Minnesota Vikings 3-14 Pittsburgh Steelers 14

Gainwell makes a nine-yard run to bring up 3rd & 1 at the Steelers' 48. He follows that up with a 2-yard rush and the chains move again for Pittsburgh.

Getting a little tetchy in the Vikings' defence - personal foul penalty by Jalen Redmond. It's all going one-way at the moment.

  15. Steelers in controlpublished at 15:30 BST 28 September

    Minnesota Vikings 3-14 Pittsburgh Steelers

It's all going the way the Rooney family would have hoped in Dublin.

Their Steelers have a two-score lead and the ball back in Rodgers' hands.

He starts with a 7-yard gain from a pass to his tight-end Darnell Washington. Gainwell then rumbles over for a first down.

This Steelers defence has been rock solid today. They live for turning over the football and celebrating in the end zone.

DeShon Elliott with a nice Irish jig there!

Vikings coach Kevin O'Connell may well be a quarterback whisperer.

Would love to know what he says to Carson Wentz after that.

The Terrible Towels are really waving now!

The Steelers fans in this crowd might even have enjoyed that interception more than their team's two touchdowns.

INTERCEPTION! DeShon Elliot picks it off!

Wentz was looking for Jordan Addison but Elliot was lurking and anticipating and steals the ball out of the air.

Big momentum switch just as the Vikings were advancing!
