  10. 'Tagliabue was the ultimate steward of the game'published at 18:04 GMT 9 November

NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell released the following statement on the passing of his predecessor, Paul Tagliabue: “All of us in the NFL are deeply saddened by the passing of Paul Tagliabue, whose principled leadership and vision put the NFL on the path to unparalleled success.

"Throughout his decades-long leadership on behalf of the NFL, first as outside counsel and then during a powerful 17-year tenure as commissioner, Paul served with integrity, passion and an unwavering conviction to do what was best for the league.

"Paul was the ultimate steward of the game—tall in stature, humble in presence and decisive in his loyalty to the NFL. He viewed every challenge and opportunity through the lens of what was best for the greater good, a principle he inherited from Pete Rozelle and passed on to me.

"During his Hall of Fame NFL career, Paul fostered labor peace with our players, oversaw the expansion of the league to 32 teams, ushered in an era of state-of-the-art stadiums and laid the important groundwork of establishing the league as a global brand. He helped modernize the structure of the league office and its business operations, providing the playbook for the NFL’s strategic embrace of his era’s emerging technologies including cable, satellite and the internet.

"Paul was a fierce advocate for diversity and inclusion and guided the league through the challenges of 9/11 and Hurricane Katrina. I am forever grateful and proud to have Paul as my friend and mentor.

"I cherished the innumerable hours we spent together where he helped shape me as an executive but also as a man, husband and father. Jane and I extend our heartfelt condolences to entire Tagliabue family, especially Chan, his wife of 60 years, and their children Drew and Emily.”

A hat-trick of touchdowns from Jonathan Taylor gave the Indianapolis Colts a thrilling overtime victory over the Atlanta Falcons in Berlin - including the match-winning score.

It was a tough game for Daniel Jones, who got a bloodied mouth when being sacked seven times, but some crucial completions to tight end Tyler Warren down the stretch helped engineer the win.

The Falcons took the lead with just over 90 seconds to go in the German captial, but a Michael Badgley field goal sent the game into overtime, where Taylor scored on an eight-yard rush to send the Colts to 8-2.

Taylor had an 83-yard rushing score - the longest of the season in the league - and 244 yards rushing - also an NFL lead this season - in another all-action display for Indy.

Las Vegas Raiders 7-10 Denver Broncos: highlights

Well, it wasn't pretty but the Denver Broncos defence did enough to win a real arm wrestle with the Las Vegas Raiders on Thursday - and however they did it, Denver are no 8-2 this season.

Can they ride this defence all the way though?

  14. Bears looking to continue momentumpublished at 17:55 GMT 9 November

After a difficult start to the season saw them start 0-2, the Chicago Bears have since won five of their last six games including last week's incredible 47-42 victory against the Cincinnati Bengals.

They remain firmly in the hunt for what is an extremely tight NFC North and won't want to slip up against a New York Giants team that have lost three straight.

After the Giants were ran all over by the San Francisco 49ers last week, you can fully expect Bears running backs D'Andre Swift and Kyle Monangai to be heavily involved in this - especially after head coach Ben Johnson praised the form of both going into this one midweek.

The Buffalo Bills are looking to complete the sweep of AFC East rivals, the Miami Dolphins, during the early slate tonight.

A 31-21 win in Buffalo saw the Bills prevail in early September and they will be looking for a similar outcome here as they stay in the hunt for that coveted one seed.

Aside from a shock blowout victory against the Atlanta Falcons two weeks ago, the Dolphins have been largely woeful this season and it's hard to predict anything but a big win for the Bills.

But, this is the NFL after all and stranger things have happened...

  16. Huge showdown at Raymond Jamespublished at 17:51 GMT 9 November

One of the games of the weekend takes place at Raymond James Stadium on Sunday as the 7-2 New England Patriots travel to the 6-2 Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

The Patriots go into the match on a six game winning streak and will look to keep that going against a Bucs side fresh off their bye week.

Both teams are missing key players for the match which will undoubtedly have an impact on proceedings but it's still shaping up to be a real tasty looking one.

  17. Rejuvenated Ravens face Vikings testpublished at 17:50 GMT 9 November

Looking forward to this one with two pre-season contenders fighting to stay in contention - with JJ McCarthy helping to salvage Minnesota's season with an impressive win over the Lions next week.

They're 4-4 but have the tough NFC North to contend with, and tonight a rejuvenated Ravens side with Lamar Jackson back healthy and two straight wins under their belts - although at 3-5 they've no margin for error.

Baltimore's improved defence has been key - they were awful when allowing 177 points over their first five games, but they’ve conceded just 39 in their last three - during which they've allowed just one passing touchdown.

    Who will prevail today?
