Just like the last game between the Eagles and the Packers, tonight's game in Tampa Bay is a repeat of a week one match-up.

The Buccaneers beat Washington 37-20 and continued to a 4-2 start, before suffering a four-game losing streak.

But the bye week gave the Bucs a chance to regroup as since then they've won six of their past seven games to finish with a 10-7 record and clinch the NFC South title on the final day.

Washington came into the season with a new head coach in Dan Quinn and a rookie quarterback in Jayden Daniels, and they lost 37-20 at Tampa Bay in week one.

But the Commanders won seven of their next eight games, before a run of three straight defeats left them with a 7-5 record.

Washington then won their last five games of the season - the last four by six points or fewer - to finish behind the Philadelphia Eagles in the NFC East and clinch a wildcard spot.

I’m excited for this match-up because you can get any version of Baker Mayfield and the Bucs. [Running back] Bucky Irving has been one of the star rookies and I like what they’re doing.

[Commanders cornerback] Marshon Lattimore against [Bucs receiver] Mike Evans will be a fun match-up. Lattimore used to be with the Saints so he's used to playing against Mike Evans, who’s just had an 11th consecutive season of more than 1,000 receiving yards, so all Lattimore will be thinking about is locking down Evans and proving himself because there’s a rivalry between the two.

Jayden Daniels has had a phenomenal rookie season as the Commanders quarterback, though, and I don’t know if the Bucs' defence can stop him.

Efe Obada says his Commanders team have got what it takes to go all the way to New Orleans

The Commanders' roster includes British defensive end Efe Obada, who admitted he isn't exactly impartial when giving his tip to win this year's Super Bowl.

"My prediction is definitely going to be biased - we're going to win Super Bowl 59, it's no question," he told the BBC.

"We've just got to focus on each week, take every game as it comes and I believe we'll be at the top of the mountain."

Asked what will be the best game of Wildcard Weekend, he added: "Definitely our game, that's the game everybody should be excited about and tune in to.

"Everyone's locked in and prepared. We played them in week one (losing 37-20) and we all agree that we're a totally different team. We're excited to get down there in Tampa and showcase all the hard work, the brotherhood and the growth that each player has made."

Washington's Jayden Daniels is Rookie of the Year favourite having set the record for most rushing yards by a rookie quarterback (891). He's been pretty good through the air too.

Only Joe Burrow and Jared Goff threw for more passing yards in the regular season than Baker Mayfield, who had career-best figures pretty much across the board, including rushing yards (378).

Do NOT go to bed yet, this one's going to be FUN.

These two also met in week one, Tampa Bay winning that, and they have a better overall team led by all-action quarterback Baker Mayfield, but rookie Jayden Daniels has thrilled at times for Washington - especially with some incredible late heroics.

Both sides averaged over 28 points a game, which is rare for a wildcard meeting, both have home run hitters at receiver and neither quarterback knows when he is beaten.

This has late drama written all over it.

  10. 'Defence did a hell of a job'published at 00:57 Greenwich Mean Time

Green Bay Packers 10-22 Philadelphia Eagles

Eagles running back Saquon Barkley speaking to Fox:

"They [team-mate] told me I should have took a bit more (on final run), but the most important thing is winning and advancing. Defence did hell of a job.

"It's play-off football, Green Bay is well coached and have lots of great players.

"A year ago I put out a tweet watching play-off football on my couch saying I had to find a way to get back in it!"

You want to start fast in the play-offs, you want to come up with a big play and Philadelphia did out of the gate. Those turnovers were key, especially in a tightly contested game.

It was competitive, both defences showed up but it was the turnovers that ultimately told the story.

It was desperation mode for Green Bay, you've got to figure out how to get the ball down the field quickly. But there's triple coverage back there. Mitchell sees it before anyone else and makes the catch. It's so far underthrown.

  13. Eagles into divisional roundpublished at 00:50 Greenwich Mean Time
    Breaking

Green Bay Packers 10-22 Philadelphia Eagles

Perhaps not a statement victory but the Philadelphia Eagles led throughout and were worthy winners in Pennsylvania tonight.

Ultimately, the multiple Green Bay turnovers decided the game and the Eagles, led by a controlled, steady Jalen Hurts, eased through without needing to find top gear.

That will change in the divisional round next weekend - although their opponents are yet to be determined, of course, with two more NFC wildcard games to be played.

Green Bay's season is over and it's not a game they will look back fondly on, having suffered a number of injuries in addition to defeat.

Saquon Barkley could have scored a late touchdown but he slides to the turf so the Eagles can take a knee - and that is that.

    All doubt removed.

Jordan Love launches a semi-Hail Mary but it's picked off by Quinyon Mitchell.

Receiver Bo Melton claimed pass interference but the ball was well short of reaching him.
