Victoria Pendleton wins thriller after crash at World Track Cycling
Team GB's Victoria Pendleton recovers from a heavy crash in the first heat of her sprint semi-final against rival Anna Meares to beat the Australian by millimetres in a thrilling deciding heat at the World Track Cycling Championships in Melbourne.
Meares thought she had completed victory with a win in the second leg but was then relegated for going outside the sprinter's line.
Pendleton beat Simona Krupeckaite in the gold medal race after the Lithuanian was herself relegated in the second heat.
