World Track Cycling: Victoria Pendleton wins sprint title

Victoria Pendleton wins her sixth world sprint title after opponent Simona Krupeckaite of Lithuania is relegated in the second heat of their final at the World Track Cycling Championships in Melbourne.

An emotional Pendleton collapes to the floor in tears after the result is announced, as she equals the record of Russians Galina Ermolaeva and Galina Zareva as the most successful individual female sprinter in the sport's history.

Pendleton had recovered from a heavy crash to beat the defending champion Anna Meares in a thrilling semi-final.
