Ferguson backs Redknapp as ideal Capello successor
Sir Alex Ferguson feels there is "no doubt" that Harry Redknapp is the ideal candidate to succeed Fabio Capello as England manager, praising his "experience, personality and knowledge of the game".
Ferguson is seeking to avenge Manchester United's FA Cup defeat by Liverpool in their game on Saturday, which Ferguson states "wasn't a fair result", and backs goalkeeper David de Gea to get over his "bad day" at Anfield, praising the 21-year old Spaniard's speed and agility as "outstanding".
The United manager also reveals Tom Cleverley will play some part in Saturday's game, the midfielder having recovered from the ankle injury he picked up in October's win at Everton, external, along with defender Chris Smalling.
