Steven Gerrard tells BBC Sport Fabio Capello's exit could lift England

Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard says although he was surprised by Fabio Capello's resignation as England manager he believes it may give the team the lift they need to be successful this summer.

Gerrard also says that he wants to be England captain again but that he will have to wait for the decision of caretaker manager Stuart Pearce.
