Ferguson calls for rival fans to respect each other
Sir Alex Ferguson says the findings of the Hillsborough report should draw "a line in the sand" in terms of how Manchester United and Liverpool supporters treat each other.
The Manchester United manager called on supporters to refrain from chanting about the event, as well as about the Munich air disaster, after this week's damning report by the Hillsborough Independent Panel cleared Liverpool supporters of any blame relating to the death of 96 fans.
Ferguson also revealed that Darren Fletcher will be included in his squad for Saturday's match with Wigan in order to give "a boost" to the midfielder, who is recovering after being diagnosed with chronic bowel condition.
Liverpool and Manchester United are due to meet at Anfield in the Premier League on Sunday 23 September.
