Brendan Rodgers bemoans referee decisions

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers feels his side have been unfairly treated by officials so far this season, and is hoping for "better decisions over the coming weeks".

Rodgers expressed disappointment about the sending off of midlfielder Jonjo Shelvey following defeat by Manchester United, revealing he even felt the need to contact referees chief Mike Riley to explain his thoughts.

Liverpool are the Premier League's third-most penalised side so far this season, receiving 10 yellow and two red cards in their 10 games to date.
