Man United 2-0 Cardiff: Van Persie & Rooney return lifted us - Moyes

David Moyes says the return of strikers Robin van Persie and Wayne Rooney is a "big lift" for Manchester United as they beat Cardiff 2-0 at Old Trafford.

Van Persie, who had been sidelined for 11 games with a thigh strain, scored after six minutes and Ashley Young doubled United's lead in the second half before Rooney replaced Van Persie for his first appearance since 1 January following a groin injury.

Moyes also praises United's new record signing Juan Mata, saying the midfielder brings "more craft" to them side.
