Michael Hoey upbeat despite second-round 75 at Irish Open

Michael Hoey says he struggled with the pace of the greens as he lost ground with a 75 at the Irish Open on Friday but remains content with his ball-striking.

"I didn't quite have the pace on the greens but I hit the ball just as well (as yesterday) so I'm quite happy," said Hoey, who dropped eight off the pace as he finished on one under at the halfway stage at Carton House.

"If I can shoot a good score tomorrow, I could still move up to have a chance."
