Open 2013: Matthew Fitzpatrick wins amateur Silver Medal

Matthew Fitzpatrick wins his battle with Jimmy Mullen to claim the Silver Medal as the top amateur at the 2013 Open.

The 18-year-old from Sheffield hit three birdies in his final round to card a one-over-par 72 and finish 10 over for the tournament, five shots ahead of Mullen.

Fitzpatrick will attend Northwestern university in Chicago after the summer, the same establishment where Luke Donald honed his golf game.
