Javier Ballesteros on playing at Royal Portrush

Javier Ballesteros, son of the late Seve Ballesteros, talks about competing at the British Amateur Championship at Royal Portrush.

He said it was nice that so many of the people he met in Ireland, England and Scotland spoke fondly about his father.

The 23-year-old felt Portrush would present a stern challenge for the world's top players when the Open returns to the Northern Ireland links.

Ballesteros looks certain to miss out on the matchplay stage of the British Amateur Championship after opening with an 81 at Royal Portrush.
