Captain Paul McGinley buoyed by Graeme McDowell's Paris win

Europe's captain Paul McGinley says Graeme McDowell is looking good for a place in the 2014 Ryder Cup team after successfully defending his French Open title.

McDowell has not yet worked his way into the top nine automatic places in the team for the biennial battle with the United States in September.

However McGinley said: "He has had a lot of top 10s. He has not played as much as the others guys, but it looks like it is working out for him."
