Champions Stake winner rails at 'crazy' whip ruling

Belgian jockey Christophe Soumillon rails against the "crazy" ruling that sees him lose his £50,000 prize money, external and face a five-day ban for breaching the new whip rules whilst winning the Champion Stakes, external at Ascot.

The rider was punished after he struck his mount six times in the final furlong as he won the £1.3m Champion Stakes on Cirrus Des Aigles at Champions Day.
