Derry were 'overawed' in league final says manager Brian McIver

Derry manager Brian McIver believes the "big occasion" got to a number of his players in Sunday's heavy defeat by Dublin in the Football League Division 1 final.

"We're disappointed - particularly in terms of our first-half performance. You can't give Dublin a lead like that," said McIver after Dublin's 3-19 to 1-10 win at Croke Park.

"We kept giving the ball away to them."
