A real shame for Tysie Gallagher after she saw her Commonwealth and British title defence against Ebonie Jones tonight cancelled.

Jones failed to make weight on Thursday.

Gallagher was due to make her return to action three months after her mother-in-law was killed and the original fight with Jones was postponed as a result.

"We got a call late last night saying the fight is off due to Ebonie not making weight," Gallagher said on Instagram.

"As professional athletes we have a job to make weight. Unfortunately Ebonie couldn't stick to her end of the bargain.

"Absolutely gutted. Even if it's not a title fight, any fight, I think it's disgraceful if a fighter can't make weight."

"I am just devastated. I put everything into this camp."

Hughes lands huge left hand on Sharp and we've finally got something going here!

Sharp was rocked heavily backwards before clinching and continuing to move around the ring while throwing minimal punches.

  4. 'I'd be a serious powerhouse'published at 22:36 British Summer Time 23 May

    Harper v Zimmermann

Time for more from our interview with GBM's Izzy Asif and he has his eyes firmly set on joining the likes of Eddie Hearn and Frank Warren at boxing's top table.

"If they gave me the same money as Eddie right now, I'd be a serious powerhouse in this country," Asif says.

In true Asif fashion, he continues to talk a big game and dream even bigger.

He feels it could just take one event - one headline fight which captures a big sporting audience - to make GBM a serious player in British boxing.

BBC Sport understands conversations have previously taken place for GBM to promote the grudge rematch between former world champion Billy Joe Saunders and bitter rival Chris Eubank Jr.

"It's very realistic," Asif says of the possibility. "In the meantime, I'll keep pushing, building the fighters, our reputation, our brand and giving the fighters the good deals."

  5. Round sixpublished at 22:34 British Summer Time 23 May

    Hughes v Sharp

Hughes is trying to engage and catches Sharp with a lovely right hook right on the chin but Sharp dances right in front of him and smiles.

Must be extremely for Hughes, who is really struggling to land right now.

No idea how the judges will be scoring this one.

With Terri Harper and Caroline Dubois going at each other in the media, let's take a look at where they stand in the lightweight rankings.

The undefeated Dubois sits at the top of the tree with her WBC title but she didn't look at her best last time out against Bo Mi Re Shin.

Third in the rankings is Harper but she's got ambitions to dominate the division.

    Harper v Zimmermann

As Kal says there, a potential fight between Terri Harper and Caroline Dubois has been bubbling away nicely in the background for a good few months now.

The two have exchanged social media exchanges in the past and now Harper has spoken about meeting Dubois next.

“I don’t know what it is with Caroline Dubois or what her problem is but I honestly can’t wait to get paid to get in that girl’s face. First I’ve got to get past Natalie Zimmerman here, then if she wants it next she can have it.”

  10. Round fourpublished at 22:26 British Summer Time 23 May

    Hughes v Sharp

I'm really sorry for saying this could be the fight of the night because it certainly won't be if it carries on like this.

Sharp is indeed very sharp in there as he throws a couple of jabs and moves so Hughes can't respond.

Neither men with any marks on their faces at the end of the fourth.

A win for Terri Harper tonight could lead to a mouthwatering fight with WBC lightweight world champion Caroline Dubois.

Londoner Dubois is considered the future of women's boxing and the boxers have exchanged some trash talk this week.

"I honestly can’t wait to get paid to get in that girl’s face,” Harper said at the news conference.

In reply, Dubois told Sky Sports that she would make her fellow champion "crumble" in a potential unification fight.

    Hughes v Sharp

    Adam Smith

Archie Sharp needs a victory here. He's 30 now and believes he can mix with the elite in the lightweight division. He wants a world title shot and believes this is the platform, but he's not landing much.

  15. 'Boxing promotion is a cult'published at 22:20 British Summer Time 23 May

    Harper v Zimmermann

As Izzy Asif has found out, it's never easy being the new kid on the block and the same goes for boxing promotion.

He spoke to BBC Sport about his time in the sport: "Boxing promotion is a cult - it is so hard to break through.

"I said I was in this business to be the best - everyone just looked at me as if to say 'who the hell is this British-Pakistani guy?'"

In 2002, he discovered boxing and the 6ft 4in cruiserweight would go on to make his professional debut before retiring in 2012.

"How many other British promoters can say they got punched in the face for a living?"

  16. Round twopublished at 22:18 British Summer Time 23 May

    Hughes v Sharp

We're through the first two rounds in the co-main event and it's yet to catch fire with both men trying to work out what the other will do.

Hughes threw a lovely body shot at the end of the second round but it's even.

I wouldn't be surprised to see this one go the distance.

  17. What is GBM?published at 22:16 British Summer Time 23 May

    Harper v Zimmermann

We've all heard of Matchroom and Queensberry, but let's chat GBM.

GBM is a baby in terms of boxing promotion but Sheffield-born owner Izzy Asif is looking to make waves in the sport.

After promoting his first show in March 2022, Asif's ambitions were met with raised eyebrows.

Three years later, in Terri Harper v Natalie Zimmermann, he hosts his first world title fight.

    Let's take a look at Asif's story.

"I'm excited to get out and do my job. I want to get out and really raise the bar now."

Former world champions Kell Brook and Ebanie Bridges, welterweight contender Jack Catterall and Doncaster heavyweight Dave Allen are in attendance.

The star of the show, Terri Harper, took a stroll across the turf at around 20:00 BST. With her hood up and hands in her pocket, she cut a relaxed figure. Earlier in the week, she said she will be disappointed with anything other than a stoppage win.

  20. Laamouz defeats one-armed Flintpublished at 22:12 British Summer Time 23 May

    Flint v Laamouz

Haithem Laamouz defeated Doncaster fighter James Flint by unanimous decision in another exciting fight.

We have to admit we weren't familiar with the Maltese fighter before tonight, but a quick Google suggests this is probably the biggest win a Maltese fighter has enjoyed in a long time.

It was a thrilling contest with Flint injuring his shoulder in the second round, and he fought the remaining eight rounds with just one arm.

Flint will feel he took the moral victory there, and I imagine he'll fancy his chances with the use of both hands. Rematch?
