A dramatic fight week - two drop outs - and a couple of questionable decisions on fight night, but what a conclusion.

It wasn't to be for Briton Hamzah Sheeraz as he could only fight to a draw against WBC middleweight champion Carlos Adames.

Shakur Stevenson and Joseph Parker did as expected against late call-ups Josh Padley and Martin Bakole respectively.

It was always going to be about the main event, though, right?!

Dmitry Bivol earned his revenge against Artur Beterbiev to become the undisputed light-heavyweight champion.

Sign me up for the trilogy please.

Frank Warren speaking to BBC Radio 5 Live: "The quality of the fighters, two of the best in the 21st century. The last fight was a brilliant one, but this one surpassed it by far. The guts, the skills, the pace, everything. From start to finish, unbelievable. I don't know how they did it to be honest, especially when one of them is 40 years old.

"I thought it was close, but I thought Bivol nicked it. It's been an unbelievable night, but they reckon they're going to do a trilogy. So we're going to get it again!"

Right, obviously there is loads of talk about a trilogy but there are also some suggesting that Dmitry Bivol should be looking at other contenders.

The standout contender, aside from Beterbiev, would be David Benavidez after he moved to 30-0 with victory earlier this month.

Callum Smith has also put himself in the conversation after beating Joshua Buatsi to become the WBO 'interim' light-heavyweight champion earlier tonight.

Unfortunately I haven't got enough thumbs below to offer you a vote on all three contenders.

Let's pretend that Beterbiev is out of the equation. Who would you rather see Bivol face out of Benavidez (thumbs up) and Smith (thumbs down)?

Dmitry Bivol tasted defeat for the first time in his career against Artur Beterbiev in October but went back to the drawing board and came out with a much-improved gameplan.

I feared we might be set for the same outcome when Beterbiev built momentum in rounds four and five but Bivol went back to what had been working and didn't ease off for the remainder.

Two incredibly well-matched, high IQ fighters have just delivered another classic.

"I told myself he could stay from the beginning to disturb me. It was hard to keep him in the distance and then I saw that he was tired also. I had to be smarter and punch more clean punches and I did.

"Every person in my camp helped me a lot. Everything was on my side. Everyone in my team was important.

"I'm ready for any challenge. I want a little bit of rest because I had some injuries in the summer and this time I had injuries. I want to heal myself and come back."

116-112, 115-113 in favour of Bivol with the third judge seeing it as a 114-114 draw.

Bivol gets his revenge and becomes the undisputed light-heavyweight champion.

I've got no doubt that Bivol did enough in that fight, that's my gut feeling. I have it seven rounds to five, I'm convinced he did enough.
