  2. Billam-Smith v Opetaia?published at 21:03 British Summer Time 12 October

    Opetaia beats Massey by TKO

Could we see Britain's Chris Billam-Smith take on Jai Opetaia in the near future? Billam-Smith would have to come through his November fight with Gilberto Ramirez for that to happen but Opetaia has made it clear he wants the winner.

    Opetaia beats Massey by TKO

Of course, Massey is disappointed but he was in there with one of the very best tonight in Opetaia and he gave it his very best.

Opetaia moves to 26-0 with what was a great performance with some brutal power punching.

  4. The correct decision from Gallagherpublished at 20:58 British Summer Time 12 October

    Opetaia beats Massey by TKO

Just as I was typing about whether Joe Gallagher should think about pulling Massey out of this one, the towel comes flying into the ring.

You never want to see that but it's the right decision from Gallagher. Opetaia was really handing out some punishment and was looking at his best. Massey couldn't deal with him.

Australia's Skye Nicolson defended her WBC featherweight world title with a stylish points win over Briton Raven Chapman earlier tonight.

The 29-year-old was in full flow, picking her opponent apart with some terrific counter-punching at Riyadh's Kingdom Arena.

Norwich-born Chapman, 30, was aggressive and landed the odd single blow but struggled with the champion's movements and superior boxing skills.

Queensland's Nicolson was awarded a unanimous decision with scores of 99-91, 98-92 and 98-92.

"There's still so much more to go. I'm excited. We're still scratching the surface," Nicolson said.

  7. Round fivepublished at 20:53 British Summer Time 12 October

    Opetaia v Massey

Massey is showing what a tough man he is as his face starts to show signs of the damage Opetaia has dealt with his left hand.

Opetaia upped the tempo and he hurt Massey with a heavy counter right hook. Somehow, Massey recovered but you have to question how much more damage can he take here.

  8. Round fourpublished at 20:49 British Summer Time 12 October

    Opetaia v Massey

Opetaia's left hand is finding its target almost every time. He's really targeting Massey's body in the early stages of the fight.

Massey lands another good right but it doesn't seem to bother Opetaia.

These two just seem levels apart.

Scariest boxer ever? Sonny Liston has to be up there but I'm saying Thomas Hearns - just watching him stare somebody down, you know they're in trouble.

Massey lands a great right hand in the first seconds of the round as the Brit reminds Opetaia he's there!

    Opetaia v Massey

Opetaia's movement is brilliant and Massey is finding it hard to land. Opetaia is landing but nothing has troubled Massey yet.

You do sense that the opening is there for Opetaia to land his left hand in that southpaw stance.

The cold glares of Liston and Foreman have to be up there, but Roberto Duran for me... he'd lock eyes and sneer. He'd even sneer on his way back to a neutral corner after he's sparked someone. Heart of stone as well as Hands...

Opetaia has started well with Massey already backing up with his hands high. Opetaia lands some heavy body shots before Massey opens up a bit more towards the end of the round.

Will be a tough night for the Briton if he continues to back up like this.

Jack Massey has the chance to create one of the biggest upsets of the year when he takes on undefeated Jai Opetaia.

The 31-year-old is stepping up for the toughest challenge of his career but the rewards are huge; Massey could become IBF cruiserweight champion of the world.

But, to do that, Massey must do what no professional has been able to do and get one over on Australian Opetaia.

  16. From scaffolding to world title shotpublished at 20:32 British Summer Time 12 October

    Opetaia v Massey

Cruiserweight Jack Massey was at the top of a scaffolding site when he took the phone call that changed the trajectory of his life.

He had the offer to fight former world champion Joseph Parker and, despite having never fought at heavyweight, he took the opportunity with both hands.

Parker won the competitive 10-rounder but Massey, whose only other defeat came against fellow Briton Richard Riakporhe, gave a strong account of himself.

The result fired Massey back into contention at his natural weight of cruiserweight, and on 12 October the Chapel-en-le-Frith fighter will be in Saudi Arabia to tackle Australian Jai Opetaia for the IBF cruiserweight world title.

All this trash talk going on with Benn and Eubank, Nigel Benn must be thinking what is he doing, Benn not big enough to take Eubank on, unless he's got his fathers animal instinct and heart.
