After the cancelled first fight, which was scheduled for 8 October 2022, there was a danger that this fight could be overhyped.

All the talk of family legacy and trying to emulate the rivalry of their fathers.

World titles may not have been on the line - as was the case when Chris Eubank Sr and Nigel Benn met in the 1990s - but that was some scrap.

Pure passion, desire and will to succeed on show from both Chris Eubank Jr and Conor Benn.

And that atmosphere 👌

I felt it was a little tighter but there were some tight rounds that were difficult to score.

It was definitely a contest of two halves.

That is the first time Benn has tasted defeat as a professional.

This could be a draw.

I had it going down to the final round.

The cynics out there would say it was always going to be a draw to force a rematch but you can't argue with what we've just seen.

65,000 people on their feet.

There is applause somewhere around this office... I don't know where it's coming from but if I was able to take my hands off this keyboard I would be clapping too.

What a fight.

I don't know if Eubank has enough energy to get a knockout but he could force the referee to step in.

There has been three outrageous and exceptional rounds and the rest of the rounds have been incredible. This fight has gone beyond all expectational expectations.

I'm genuinely flabbergasted and lost for words.

Eubank goes all out again!

Benn is caught with a left in the midst of emptying the tank. It's only the ropes that keep him standing.

Eubank has Benn backed up in the corner and is unloading.

Benn manages to survive an onslaught!

They touch gloves to start the round.

Respect earned.

"This is the Eubank Jr show," they say in the corner.

Benn's corner tell him Eubank is done. They're both told to go for it!

They claw away at each other as they meet in the middle.

Benn stops firing back as Eubank takes control of the round.

Again, not a great deal of power but more than enough to catch the eye of the judges.

A really strong end to the round from Eubank.

I've given them five rounds each with the eighth a draw.

Does it come down to round 12?

Benn is swinging for the trees. No sign of controlled aggression here.
