Summary

  1. Round sixpublished at 22:43 British Summer Time 26 April

    Eubank v Benn

And one more warning for shots to the back of the head.

Eubank might not be far away from getting a point deducted and that would be a disaster.

I do give him this round, though.

4-2. Could easily be 3-3, if you're liking Eubank's defence.

  2. Round sixpublished at 22:42 British Summer Time 26 April

    Eubank v Benn

Benn's jab doesn't look as effective now as he stretches and leaves his chin exposed.

Eubank works on the inside as Benn steps close. Good work to the body.

Another warning, though, as a few shots from Eubank stray to the back of the head.

  3. 'Benn ahead 3-2'published at 22:41 British Summer Time 26 April

    Eubank v Benn

    Richie Woodhall
Former boxing world champion on BBC Radio 5 Sports Extra

I have got Benn just ahead, 3-2. In that round, Eubank controlled the distance better there.

Benn is naturally slowing down. He has got to keep his fast, ferocious pace up.

  4. Round sixpublished at 22:40 British Summer Time 26 April

    Eubank v Benn

Benn adopts some underhand tactics now as he forces Eubank on to the ropes and holds his glove.

A brief warning and on we go.

The referee is trying to let them work most things out.

  6. 'This is 1990 at the NEC'published at 22:38 British Summer Time 26 April

    Eubank v Benn

    Steve Bunce
Boxing expert on BBC Radio 5 Sports Extra

It's hard to tell what Eubank is trying here. He keeps talking and smiling, but he keeps taking shots.

The speed is still the factor. I hate to simplify a fight like this, but if you squint your eyes, this is 1990 at the NEC [National Exhibition Centre] - this is so like that fight.

  7. Round fivepublished at 22:38 British Summer Time 26 April

    Eubank v Benn

Eubank lands a one-two. It looks like he may have found his timing.

Benn charges in and Eubank uses his frame to force him back - turning his shoulder to knock Benn off balance.

Benn doesn't look as mobile as he did in the previous four rounds. He predicted a win inside six rounds. Has he come out too quickly?

  9. Round fivepublished at 22:36 British Summer Time 26 April

    Eubank v Benn

A word from the referee to keep it clean before the action gets going.

It gets a little scrappy and Benn tumbles to the floor but it's not a knockdown.

Both men appear to be talking to each other between action. Eubank doing the most talking despite being behind.

    Oooof.

The fans are belting out 'Delilah' by Tom Jones between rounds. It sounds beautiful.

    Eubank v Benn

    Steve Bunce
Boxing expert on BBC Radio 5 Sports Extra

If Benn doesn't start to slow down, and it doesn't start to become a Eubank fight, we may have an ugly few rounds coming up here.

  13. Round fourpublished at 22:34 British Summer Time 26 April

    Eubank v Benn

Another warning from the referee as Eubank, who was talking in the ear of Benn, throws a hook after he called break and they were pulled apart.

Benn lands another left hook - that's the shot that wobble Eubank earlier.

  14. Round fourpublished at 22:33 British Summer Time 26 April

    Eubank v Benn

Benn is throwing some huge shots.

Eubank has a smile on his face and starts talking - it's not the time for that.

Is Eubank hoping Benn punches himself out? A dangerous ploy if that is the case.

    Eubank v Benn

    Steve Bunce
Boxing expert on BBC Radio 5 Sports Extra

The fight is being won by speed. So what if Benn misses, he can land another. He really hurt Eubank with that left. I'm stunned at the distance in speed.

Credit to Benn for showing up - but there’s levels to this game, and Eubank’s about to remind everyone. Experience, composure, pedigree - he's got it all. Benn’s been making plenty of noise outside the ring, but Eubank’s about to do his talking where it really matters.

  17. Round threepublished at 22:31 British Summer Time 26 April

    Eubank v Benn

Another round in the bag for Benn.

Eubank needs to find some rhythm here or this fight could start to run away from him.

Are we seeing a difficult weight cut have an impact on Eubank here?

  18. Round threepublished at 22:29 British Summer Time 26 April

    Eubank v Benn

Eubank, with some blood smeared across his face, keeps his feet and holds on to Benn.

They exchange words in the clinch before being pulled apart.

Benn is showing some real explosiveness.

  19. Round threepublished at 22:28 British Summer Time 26 April

    Eubank v Benn

    Eubank is wobbling!

He is caught with a one-two and then eats a left.

  20. Round twopublished at 22:26 British Summer Time 26 April

    Eubank v Benn

Eubank throws a left check hook and it's only just wide of the mark.

Referee Victor Loughlin halts the action as they don't heed his instruction to break. It is pretty loud in the arena, maybe they can't hear him?

Benn is looking lively behind the left jab. Eubank's head rocks back as he walks straight into it and he is yet to settle.

A good round from Benn. I've got him 2-0 up here.
