  1. Postpublished at 15:07 British Summer Time 30 June

    Somerset v Warwickshire 168-6

Jack Leach thinks he has Ed Barnard out after the batter misses a sweep on 53 but it hasn't been given.

Might have struck just outside off.

Leach comes back strongly with a maiden next over, bowling outside off with flight and a hint of turn.

  2. Postpublished at 15:06 British Summer Time 30 June

    Durham 183-9 v Worcs

Matthew Potts is no mug with the bat and goes into this match with an average of exactly 50 from nine innings.

Not bad for a number 10.

He gets off the mark with a lovely four driven the ground and after playing out five dots, takes two more off Matthew Waite to move to seven.

  3. dropped catch

Burns dropped on 25published at 15:04 British Summer Time 30 June

    Surrey 67-2 v Essex

Lovely shot from Jamie Smith, showing the face of the bat with an immaculate front foot drive down the ground for four runs off the bowling of Shane Snater.

Paul Walter is worked into the on side by Rory Burns for a single via a checked pull shot.

This has been an even session of play between two very good sides thus far.

Rory Burns edges Shane Snater and the ball takes the shoulder of the bat, just evading a diving Simon Harmer in the slips. Single taken.

Very tough chance - but it is a chance. Fine margins.

  4. wicket

WICKET Clark lbw b Smith 28published at 14:59 British Summer Time 30 June

    Durham 181-9 v Worcs

Durham are collapsing in a heap.

Graham Clark plays across the line to a full ball from Nathan Smith which thuds into his front pad bang in front.

Smith now has 3-31 and Durham have lost their last four wickets for just 21 runs.

Peter Siddle may not be the man to eke out many more. He joins Matty Potts.

  5. 50 runs

50 for Ed Barnardpublished at 14:56 British Summer Time 30 June

    Somerset v Warwickshire 152-6

That's his fifth score of 50 or more in a bumper season that has included two centuries.

The Bears have hope of a batting point or two while he remains at the crease.

This 50 comes in 94 balls with eight fours and is completed with a back foot flick to square leg for one off Jack Leach.

  6. wicket

WICKET Bell c Harrison b Pennington 8published at 14:54 British Summer Time 30 June

    Lancashire 111-3 v Notts

A first of this innings for Dillon Pennington but a 30th of the season.

One ball after George Bell clips him to midwicket for four and the bowler gets lift outside off, which discomforts Bell into edging straight to second slip.

Deserved reward for accuracy and perseverance for Pennington in his 13th over.

  7. Postpublished at 14:54 British Summer Time 30 June

    Surrey 61-2 v Essex

Shane Snater is back in the attack, bowling to Jamie Smith - who is confidently forward defending down the ground.

Paul Walter is in the Essex attack now and Smith gets a single pushing into the on side.

  8. wicket

WICKET Raine c Roderick b Waite 3published at 14:54 British Summer Time 30 June

    Durham 175-8 v Worcs

A fourth catch of the innings for Gareth Roderick.

It's a lovely delivery from Matthew Waite who angles one in across left-hander Ben Raine who has to play and nicks it behind trying to push down the ground.

    Matthew Potts is in.

  9. Division Two latestpublished at 14:53 British Summer Time 30 June

    #bbccricket

Adam Lyth and Finlay Bean have got Yorkshire off to a flying start, moving to 30-0 off six overs in reply to Derbyshire's 76 all out.

Gloucestershire's tail-end fun is ended on 179 Ajeet Singh Dale the last man out on 32, with Marchant de Lange ending 46 not out against Glamorgan.

But it looks like Division Two leaders Sussex won't last long with the bat, either. They are now 126-9 against Northants with Jack White doing the bulk of the damage with 4-23.

And another Ryan Higgins appreciation post as his fourth wicket for Middlesex has Leicestershire teetering at 153-9.

  10. dropped catch

Dropped catchpublished at 14:49 British Summer Time 30 June

    Durham 171-7 v Worcs

Durham should be eight down as a regulation catch is grassed.

Ben Allison is the frustrated bowler as he takes the edge of Graham Clark.

It's dipping as it reaches Adam Hose at first slip, but he gets both hands to the ball low down and out it popped.

Clark has a lifeline on 23.

  11. Postpublished at 14:49 British Summer Time 30 June

    Somerset v Warwickshire 151-6

Ed Barnard is nearing a 50 and the Bears need him to go big today.

He's back and across to spinner Jack Leach to slap the ball through cover for a single, taking Warwickshire to 150 in the 44th over.

    He's on 49.

  12. 'An offence not to walk round with a coffee'published at 14:49 British Summer Time 30 June

    Lancashire 104-2 v Notts

    David Lloyd
Former England batter on BBC Radio Lancashire

I've been in London recently and it's an offence if you're not walking round carrying a cup of coffee!

You walk around seeing people with a cup of coffee and a mobile phone talking to an imaginary person.

Get Involvedpublished at 14:46 British Summer Time 30 June

    #bbccricket

Matt Roberts: Ed Barnard does this bat spinning thing DURING the bowlers run up, and it's giving me anxiety every ball. How does he know the bat is straight?! #bbccricket #countychampionship

A cricketer with an unusual idiosyncrasy? We thought they were obligatory!

  14. 'Stokes looked stunned to be given out'published at 14:43 British Summer Time 30 June

    Durham 168-7 v Worcs

    Martin Emmerson
    BBC Radio Newcastle

Ben Stokes looked absolutely stunned to be given out.

He had gone to reset his guard and he has been given out. He walked off shaking his head.

I'm wondering if it clipped his helmet.

  15. wicket

WICKET Bethell c Rew b C Overton 1published at 14:42 British Summer Time 30 June

    Somerset v Warwickshire 145-6

Jacob Bethell had 577 runs in all cricket for the Bears at 38 going into this round of matches, plus 10 wickets at 37.

But he's out for a seven-ball single today.

Craig Overton has quite possibly started a terminal slide with a beauty that draws Bethell forward to block and yields a thin edge just below waist height to keeper James Rew.

    Michael Burgess is in next.

  16. Postpublished at 14:38 British Summer Time 30 June

    Hampshire 71-3 v Kent

Joey Evison's second over is nowhere near as successful as his first.

Six balls to James Vince, three fours and 12 runs off it and easy boundary hit with more authority than the last.

Vince has 36 off 38 balls with eight fours and Kent will be so keen to see the back of him as he looks in the mood.

  17. wicket

WICKET de Leede c Roderick b Allison 0published at 14:38 British Summer Time 30 June

    Durham 160-7 v Worcs

One brings two as Ben Allison goes bang-bang.

Bas de Leede aims an unconvincing drive to his third ball, but edges it to give Gareth Roderick a second catch of the over off Allison.

Double-wicket maiden and the Pears are right back on top once again.

Ben Raine is the new man at the crease.

  18. wicket

Rhodes c Umeed b Leach 63published at 14:36 British Summer Time 30 June

    Somerset v Warwickshire 144-5

    Breakthrough.

A fifth wicket stand of 104 is broken by Jack Leach - who somehow draws Will Rhodes into a horrible scoop to Andy Umeed at mid on.

That ball was about a yard wide of off stump.

Jacob Bethell is in next. He has plenty of form and confidence to draw on this summer and the Bears need more of that from him now.

  19. Postpublished at 14:35 British Summer Time 30 June

    Surrey 52-2 v Essex

A confident start by Jamie Smith, pouncing on a bit of width to drive Jamie Porter through cover for four.

The Surrey 50 comes in 18 overs.

  20. 'This ball is not swinging'published at 14:35 British Summer Time 30 June

    Lancashire 100-2 v Notts

    David Lloyd
Former England batsman on BBC Radio Lancashire

    This ball is not swinging.

It's quite chilly and there's a bit of a breeze.

Why continue to shine the ball?

The spinners would want the ball rough to get a better grip on it.
