  1. Ben Stokes bowls as play resumespublished at 17:12 30 June

    Durham 190 v Worcs 69-2

It's going to be a late finish at Chester-le-Street as the players drift back on to the field.

We have lost no overs to the delay and still have 32 overs left in the day.

Ben Stokes is straight back into the action after his pre-break frustrations.

His line looks much improved and keeps Kashif Ali quiet - no mean feat. Maiden.

  2. Smith going bigpublished at 17:10 30 June

    Surrey 161-4 v Essex

Jamie Porter pitches a bit too full and Jamie Smith is forward to clip the ball on the front foot through mid wicket for four.

Smith is purring into top gear and the next ball is lifted imperiously over square leg for six.

    He's on 74.

  3. WICKET Balderson c Harrison b Paterson 41published at 17:08 30 June

    Lancashire 208-5 v Notts

    The breakthrough for Notts.

In the over after Keaton Jennings reaches his ton, he loses his partner George Balderson.

He tries to force one off the back foot to Dane Paterson, and the edge is well taken at second slip, low down, by Calvin Harrison.

It ends a fine partnership of 88, and again Balderson bats well but can't make it to 50.

  4. 'Jennings likes sunny Southport'published at 17:08 30 June

    Scott Read
    BBC Radio Lancashire

It's century number four of the season for Keaton Jennings and the Lancashire captain again leading from the front for his side

He likes sunny Southport, he has a ton here again.

  5. Play to resume at the Riversidepublished at 17:07 30 June

    Durham 190 v Worcs 69-2

Good news at Chester-le-Street where play is rescheduled to start at 17:10 BST after our brief delay for bad light and rain.

Not great for batters Kashif Ali and Ben Jones who were rattling along nicely before the break and now have to reset.

  6. Postpublished at 17:07 30 June

    Somerset v Warwickshire 280-7

Warwickshire are on the charge here, in marked contrast to the first hour of play when they lost four wickets.

Michael Burgess is once again down the track to spinner Jack Leach, lofting the ball over long on for six.

He goes the other way two balls later with a lofted drive over long off for four.

11 runs off that over in total and for Somerset, the new ball can't come soon enough.

It will be available in three overs.

  7. Postpublished at 17:04 30 June

    Surrey 150-4 v Essex

Surrey reach 150 four down in the 46th over and also a fifth-wicket 50 partnership via a Sai Sudharsan back foot nudge to leg off the bowling of Paul Walter.

The stand comes in 76 balls.

  8. 'It's a good battle between Burgess and Leach'published at 17:03 30 June

    Somerset v Warwickshire 265-7

    Richard Wilford

It's becoming a really good battle between Michael Burgess and Jack Leach.

  9. Michael Burgess goes for glorypublished at 17:02 30 June

    Somerset v Warwickshire 265-7

Somerset call upon the occasional left arm seam bowling of Tom Lammonby, who starts his spell with a maiden.

Michael Burgess misses with an attempted sweep to a ball outside off but then spoils an otherwise tidy Jack Leach over with six runs swiped over long on charging forward.

  10. 100 for Keaton Jenningspublished at 17:01 30 June

A lovely way to reach three figures for Keaton Jennings as he strokes Dillon Pennington through the offside for four.

It is a fourth century of the season and it has come off 179 deliveries with 16 fours and a six.

The England ship may have sailed now, but Jennings is an excellent Championship batter.

And a worry for Notts, Jennings' career-best 318 came at Southport in July 2022 against Somerset.

  11. 50 for Ben Brownpublished at 17:01 30 June

    Hampshire 186-3 v Kent

Hampshire wicketkeeper Ben Brown tucks away a single off Nathan Gilchrist and that helps him to reach a nice half-century.

It is the third time he has gone past that mark this season.

  12. 'It's lively old stuff'published at 17:00 30 June

    Somerset v Warwickshire 265-7

    Richard Wilford
    BBC Radio WM commentator

The game has moved on since tea in a way.

30 runs already in five overs and a wicket.

    So it's lively old stuff.

    Surrey 149-4 v Essex

Sai Sudharsan plays across the line to Shane Snater but the leading edge drops the ball safely into the off side.

Change of bowling as Jamie Porter returns from the Vauxhall End.

The second ball catches Jamie Smith on the crease, playing and missing with a loose defensive shot.

Maiden over. Testing times for Surrey.

  14. Jennings on 99published at 16:59 30 June

    Lancashire 203-4 v Notts

A lovely drive straight down the ground from Keaton Jennings off Dane Paterson gets him four more runs as he moves within one of his century and bring up his side's 200.

But Paterson holds him up with three dots to end the over.

The picture at the top continues to swing the other way as leaders Sussex fight back in Northampton and Middlesex totter at Grace Road.

Ollie Robinson has picked up two wickets and Fynn Hudson-Prentice struck to dismiss Northants top scorer Privthi Shaw for 31 as Sussex reduce the hosts to 88-7, still 55 runs adrift.

At Leicester, Ben Green has followed Ben Mike's early wickets with three of his own to put Middlesex in trouble at 50-5.

Glamorgan have lost their top three as they slip to 66-3, 113 runs behind Gloucestershire's first innings total.

And at Queen's Park, Yorkshire have moved to 146-3, already 70 runs ahead of Derbyshire, with James Wharton unbeaten on 37.

Things are moving quickly in the second tier!

  16. Postpublished at 16:56 30 June

    Somerset v Warwickshire 258-7

Chris Woakes picks up four runs with a lovely back foot drive through point off Kasey Aldridge.

Just three runs off Jack Leach at the other end as Somerset try to hustle through the last few overs before the second new ball is due.

Seven overs to bowl before that point.

  18. Postpublished at 16:50 30 June

    Surrey 148-4 v Essex

Jamie Smith gets away with one in the 42nd over of the innings.

Shane Snater induces a big drive and the ball runs away wide of slip and past gully for four.

But his next scoring shot is a far more convincing back foot slap through cover point for four more.

Eathan Bosch is into his 13th over of the day and Sai Sudharsan defends down the ground.

  19. Bears reach 250 seven down at Tauntonpublished at 16:46 30 June

    Somerset v Warwickshire 250-7

Chris Woakes gets a bumper from Kasey Aldridge and the ball runs away to fine leg via the glove for four runs.

    But they all count.

The Warwickshire 250 comes in the next over via a back foot cut through backward point for one by Michael Burgess off Jack Leach.

That's a first batting bonus point.

  20. Six-Six!published at 16:46 30 June

    Lancashire 195-4 v Notts

George Balderson has offered great support to Keaton Jennings and he shows why.

He skips down to Liam Patterson-White and hits a lovely lofted shot straight down the ground for six.

Mid-off stays up and Balderson launches the next ball straight down the ground with an even bigger shot for another maximum.

    The Southport crowd love it!
