  1. Brook wants England to give USA a 'good battering'published at 03:13 British Summer Time 23 June

It's a big day in Group 2 tomorrow and Harry Brook hopes England can give the United States "a good battering" to secure their place in the semi-finals of the T20 World Cup.

The sides meet in Barbados on Sunday at 15:30 BST and a large victory for England would all but secure them a place in the knockout stages.

The group could still finish with England, West Indies and South Africa on four points but if Jos Buttler's side win by a good margin they would go through via their net run-rate.

"We’ve got to win and then obviously see how we are on net run-rate but the main thing is to definitely get that win," Brook said.

"We’ve played in Barbados quite a lot the past six months so we know the conditions, we know the wind and the pitch as well so hopefully we can go out there and give them a good battering."

A Kathryn Bryce half-century inspired The Blaze to win the Charlotte Edwards Cup for the first time after victory over South East Stars in the final.

Bryce's knock of 62 runs, including a 79-run partnership with sister Sarah Bryce, who scored a half-century of her own, led to a seven-wicket victory at the County Ground in Derby.

Earlier in the day, The Blaze beat Central Sparks by five wickets to reach the final.

    Thanks, Sam.

An excellent opening partnership from Afghanistan has really made this an interesting contest.

Australia did fight back well with the ball, including Pat Cummins' hat-trick.

Their chase of 149 should be a very exciting one.

Not long until Australia begin their chase so it is time for me to hand over to Jonty Colman.

Will Mitch Marsh's side book their place in the semi-finals or can Afghanistan keep their hopes alive?

  5. 'I remembered that hat-trick'published at 03:08 British Summer Time 23 June

Australia bowler Pat Cummins after taking a second hat-trick in as many games: "I remembered that one, crazy. None in 100 games and now two in a row.

"I thought they batted well, but I also thought we restricted the boundaries. A decent bowling effort, but pleasing in the field in general."

On fielding struggles: "Maybe the lights, I genuinely don't know."

On the pitch: "It didn't change too much. Probably not the flattest wicket in the world, but not the easiest."

On chasing 149: "If we keep up our busy intent, we can get it done."

  6. Australia need 149 to winpublished at 03:07 British Summer Time 23 June
    Breaking

Australia know what they need to secure a place in the semi-finals.

They'll back themselves to get the 149 runs needed but Afghanistan won't be unhappy at this stage either.

We could be in for an exciting chase.

It was a brilliant opening partnership. A wonderful opening set-up.

Australia were poor in the field, really incredibly poor in the field. They were put under incredible pressure and it cost them 10 or 12 runs in the field.

Mohammad Nabi finds the gap on the leg side to end the innings with a boundary.

Despite another hat-trick for Pat Cummins and a good comeback for Australia, I think Afghanistan will be fairly happy with that total.

A couple of early wickets and they could be in business.

Four wickets in four balls would've been fantastic, has that ever been done in T20 cricket before?

Dropped by David Warner to deny Pat Cummins four in four balls!

Nangeyalia Kharote flays the ball out to deep point, Warner gets there with the dive but can't cling on.

They say T20s are a batter's game, but if you're getting two hat-tricks, I'm not sure it is!

    Hat-trick for Pat Cummins again!

Heaved leg side by Gulbadin Naib and Glenn Maxwell is far more in control as he coolly pouches the catch.

Tim David got too close to that, he almost overran it and nearly took that straight in the face, but he does get two hands to it.

Pat Cummins has his second as Karim Janat holes out.

The catch is taken by Tim David, who nearly made a mess of it as he came too far running in off the rope.

It shouldn't have been a boundary. From the sublime to the ridiculous. Cameron Green is a big man. One-handed, he parries it for four. Australia will be disappointed, they have been really poor in the field. It is all small margins in T20s.

  16. Afg 141-4published at 19 overs

Mohammad Nabi ends the over with a boundary.

He's helped by another misfield as Cameroon Green gets to it but can only parry it onto the rope as he tries to flick it back.

One over to go for Afghanistan to try and get up to 150 and beyond.

It's not what he meant to do. He went to flick it through the leg side, but he's thick-edged it over third man for a six.

  18. Afg 136-4published at 18.4 overs

Leading edge but the ball flies over deep third for six!

I'm not sure how Karim Janat has managed that but he'll take it.

Josh Hazlewood is rather less impressed.

  19. dropped catch

Janat dropped on 2published at 18.2 overs

Another catch goes down for Australia.

Karim Janat skies one into the off side but Ashton Agar can't hold on as he runs back from cover and the ball drops over his shoulder.

Bit harsh, Rob. It's not been an easy surface to bat on so far.

Let's see how Australia get on in the chase.
